January...
This month's newsletter is all about the research project we are doing. At Revive Health, we have helped a wide range of people with their unique needs. In recent years, CJ has developed a special focus on women's health and scar therapy, which has drawn her towards wanting to help those with Endometriosis as a focus group for our Zone Therapy.
What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a chronic medical condition where cells similar to the lining of the uterus grow in other parts of the body. This condition affects 10% of women and those assigned female at birth from puberty to menopause. Symptoms vary from person to person, some may have debilitating symptoms, others may have none at all. Common symptoms include:
Painful periods that interfere with everyday life
Chronic pain in the lower back and pelvis
Intestinal pain
Pain during or after sexual intercourse
Infertility
Stomach (digestive) problems
Pelvic pain
Endometriosis is the second most common gynaecological condition in the UK and affects 1.5 million women and those assigned female at birth. That's a similar number to those who are affected by diabetes.
What is Zone Therapy?
Originally founded as ‘Zone Therapy' in the 1930s by Dr. Thurman Fleet, Zone Technique has recently experienced a resurgence thanks to Dr. Peter Goldman, who has refined and modernised the approach. Dr. Goldman also founded the well-known ‘Zone School of Healing,' which trains other professionals in the technique and its healing principles, aiming to extend its benefits to a wider global audience.
In simple terms, Zone Therapy is based on the idea that the body is divided into six zones, and disruptions within these zones—whether emotional or physical—can lead to various health issues and discomforts. This discovery has significantly enhanced the effectiveness of Zone practitioners, yielding remarkable results for clients with diverse health concerns.
The Trial
We are initiating a trial for a new Endometriosis treatment. This project will explore the use of Zone Therapy as a method to treat Endometriosis with the aim of ultimately providing relief from the condition. We are looking to enlist 15 women that have a medical diagnosis of Endometriosis, that have suffered with symptoms for at least 6 months. Patients will be required to attend a Zone Therapy treatment 2x per week for 12 weeks, each appointment lasting for no more than 15 minutes. Patients will be asked to complete a questionnaire that will have some sensitive information on it, but when published it will be completely anonymous and included as part of the overall results. We would also like participants to help spread the word about their experience and how the treatment has helped them. We are very confident that it will have a positive outcome and are aware that the level of positivity will vary between each participant.
We are offering this trial at a 50% discount off our regular rates. Charging for the trial ensures participants value the treatment and remain committed and engaged throughout. When trials are free, people are less likely to show up, which can compromise the results and prevent us from demonstrating how beneficial this treatment can be.
We are seeking 15 participants for the trial. If you're interested in joining or have any questions, please reach out to us using the contact methods provided below.
